Dear Room 6, Mr Megchelse, Mrs Robertson and Olli of course,

I have been thinking about you all a lot.  I miss everyone lots and lots.  I guess you've had the spellathon and cross country too! I hope they went well.  Your rehearsals for the production will be taking up lots of time and energy.  I can't wait to see the finished show.  Is Jackson singing a solo?  

I have been enjoying the last of the British summer.  I've been playing cricket with Charlotte's team and cycling with Felicity and Chris.  I have yet to start teaching as my paperwork has been lost by the people who sort these things out!! Very annoying!!!  It gives me a chance to unpack more boxes and go for more bike rides.

I have been watching the Rugby World Cup matches on TV here but the games are very early in the morning here.  Go the All Blacks!  Are some of you going to the games in Whangarei.  I'm very jealous!!!! 

Well bye for now...I'll send some more news and some photos too

Olli makes new friends

On Wednesday after school I got Olli. Danielle came to my house with Jodi!! We got my teddies and put them with Olli and Jodi. They made lots of new friends!! I gave Olli a banana to eat and Danielle gave Jodi an apple to eat. Me and Danielle had sponge cake and it was YUMMY! Danielle stayed for tea and we had lasagne then her mum picked her and Jodi up. Olli at Keas with Hugh 10th May 2011

First we decided which fabric to use to make our first aid kit bag. Olli chose the white fabric that had blue and grey stripes.

 

Then Paige’s mum sewed the fabric squares into a small bag, we carefully threaded the yellow cord through the loop at the top to make a drawstring.

 

After we had finished, Ollie helped Hugh and Tom with their word-find sheets.

Olli has a ride on a Harley!

Wow! I could hardly believe my luck!  Mr Megchelse brought his Harley Davidson 1600cc motorbike to Maungatapere School today.  Some of the teachers and kids got to have a ride.  I got to sit on it too!  The engine was so loud, it was like thunder!  It made our classroom vibrate.  The kids did some fantastic sketching and included heaps of detail.  I think Mr M must spend lots of time polishing the silver chrome because it was so shiny. 

Thank you to Mr Megchelse for giving us such an exciting time.  All the lady teachers want him to come back soon!

Ollis day with Kate

After school on Friday I got Olli for the weekend. On Saturday Olli had an adventure riding my bike and bouncing on the trampoline and swinging on the bars. Me and Olli had heaps of fun. The trampoline was wet and I landed on my knees. Awesome day ever by Kate.

Olli arrives at Ben's house!

Olli had fun coming to see the waterfalls. Olli did a long walk to the falls, and had to climb a steep hill to get back to the car.

Olli also liked doing stuff on my skateboard, and liked the picture on the back. Olli meet my cat Whiskers, and thought my bedroom was cool.

Olli at Holly's

Olli came home with me on the school bus and Dad took us to gymnastics.
Dad bought us a drink of juice on the way home. 
My little sister loved Olli a bit too much and wanted to play dressing up with him.
Olli met my black and white cat called Patch. I read lots of stories to Olli before we went to sleep.

Ollie at Hugh's house

When I went to Hugh’s house, he gave me a wash. It was really good because I smelled a bit funny, now I feel good.

When I was getting dry, I swung around on the clothes line for a while. On Saturday we took the black sheep to his new home.

I really like this cat, we are nearly the same colour and we can both sit on the chair to watch TV. The orange cat is called Tootie and he belongs to Hugh’s big brother, James.

Aftre school I got Olli well actually I got Olli for two days but that doesnt matter. I went with Dad to ride the horses and I took Olli with me in the horse truck. And I took the camera. When we got there me and Olli sat in the back and I dressed Olli up then Dad came back from riding the horses. Then me and Olli had a ride on Gingernut. I had an ice-block in my hand but that was alright. Then we came home.

I had dinner with yummy Thaifood.Then christopher took me outside.

Olli goes to Danielle Nash's house

On Wednesday I went to Danielle’s house. On the bus to her house, Emily and Kate gave me a cuddle. I was pleased to finally get there, because I could climb a tree (see photo).

 

I had dinner. Afterwards I had yummy strawberries and ice cream for dessert. Then Danielle took me outside to hold her little black baby rabbit. Danielle saved the rabbit from her cat, when the cat had caught it in the wild and had brought it into the house at the end of the school holidays. Here is a photo.

 

I had a really fun time. Soon I have to go to bed, read a story with Danielle and then go to sleep. Tomorrow I go back to school.

Ollie escaped to the wild and swung through the vines, he found some passionfruit.  I found Ollie eating passionfruit, he likes passionfruit.
 
Ollie found a new friend at my place called Bear.  He didn't want to leave Bear but he had to go back to school.

First Day in Room 6 2011

Hi everyone

I have had a really huge sleep in the holidays. I stayed inside my bag and talked to myself for the whole time.  I got a little bit bored but at least I got a good rest.  I am really pleased to see all the lovely kids back at school.  There are even some of my old friends from last year!  I am so happy and I can’t wait to go on lots of new adventures this year.
